Rookie of the Quarter: Amy Adler

December 11, 2020

At CCAH, we know that progress is what keeps us relevant and keeps us moving toward our mission — advancing change and committing to activism that makes a difference. That’s why each quarter we like to recognize one our newest employees who is helping move us toward our goals and continuing our push for progress. Our Rookie of the Quarter award is given to an employee who has started their CCAH journey in the past year and has shown their willingness to go above and beyond. They are nominated by the CCAH management committee (our partners, VPs, and president, Kim Cubine), and they exemplify CCAH’s commitment to progress.

This quarter, we are recognizing Amy Adler.

Amy is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. She started her professional career in politics working on campaigns for Congressman John Sarbanes, the Nevada Senate Democratic Caucus, Marylanders for Marriage Equality, and most recently for Pete Buttigieg’s Presidential Campaign as the Nevada Get Out the Caucus Director. Amy started in the digital fundraising space in 2015 and has raised millions of dollars for progressive candidates and causes nationwide over the course of the past five years. Making the jump to non-profit fundraising with Chapman Cubine Allen + Hussey has been both an honor and a joy and she looks forward to continuing this meaningful work. In her spare time she enjoys photography, road trips, and hanging out with her husband and her cat, Bubs.

We are proud to have Amy as part of our CCAH family and cannot wait to see what comes next. Congratulations on being our Rookie of the Quarter!

They are nominated by the CCAH management committee (our partners, VPs, and president, Kim Cubine), and they exemplify CCAH’s commitment to progress.

This quarter, we are recognizing Taylor Riley.

Taylor is a graduate of Virginia’s Bridgewater College, where she played collegiate soccer and earned a BA in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing.

Following her graduation, Taylor began her career in the marketing department of a Burke, Va.-based real estate firm, where she handled print materials, direct mail advertising, and refreshed their online media presence.

In 2019, as she looked to launch her career firmly in the marketing space, Taylor joined Chapman Cubine and Hussey as a Direct Mail Account Representative—she quickly earned her stripes through the COVID-19 pandemic, a USPS crisis, and the quick thinking required to mail during a presidential election season. Her compassionate and professional attitude, highlighted by a smart, sharp wit, serves both her clients and team well during this unpredictable and difficult time.

When Taylor isn’t in the (home) office, you can either find her on a soccer field coaching high school athletes or watching movies with a tub of cheese balls.

We are proud to have Taylor as part of our CCAH family and cannot wait to see what comes next. Congratulations on being our Rookie of the Quarter!

They are nominated by the CCAH management committee (our partners, VPs, and president, Kim Cubine), and they exemplify CCAH’s commitment to progress.

This quarter, we are recognizing Julia Simms.

Julia is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. Holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, with a focus in public relations (PR), she started her post-collegiate career doing PR for some of the most powerful players in the think tank, public affairs, and research and education spaces. These noteworthy places include: New America, Vox Global, and the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism. Excited about her transition into the marketing arena as a Direct Mail Account Representative for Chapman Cubine and Hussey, Julia hit the ground running. Coming on board with little fundraising experience, she became a sponge — soaking up any and all information she could get exposure too. This go-getter attitude catalyzed her growth and development within the company, serving both her clients and team well. In her spare time, Julia enjoys writing poetry and re-watching episodes of her favorite show, The Office.

We are proud to have Julia as part of our CCAH family and cannot wait to see what comes next. Congratulations on being our Rookie of the Quarter!

Margaret joined Chapman Cubine + Hussey as a senior designer with five years’ experience specifically in direct mail fundraising for non-profits. Graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Communications Design degree, Margaret found her “nitch” when she landed a job as an art director and designer for an agency in South Florida. Some of her job responsibilities included creating concepts and campaign materials for a broad variety of clients including The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and Grand Canyon Conservancy. Since coming to the CCAH, she works as both a print and lead digital designer and enjoys expanding her knowledge and bringing motion graphics to her digital work. To balance work and life, Margaret enjoys running, being active with beach activities, and of course spending time with friends, family and her doggies.

We are proud to have Margaret as part of our CCAH family and cannot wait to see what comes next. Congratulations on being our Rookie of the Quarter!

Rookie of the Quarter: Kyra Rogan

At CCAH, we know that progress is what keeps us relevant and keeps us moving toward our mission — advancing change and committing to activism that makes a difference. That’s why each quarter we like to recognize one our newest employees who are helping move us towards our goals and continuing our push for progress. They are nominated by the CCAH management committee (our partners, VPs, and president, Kim Cubine), and they exemplify CCAH’s commitment to progress.

This quarter, we are recognizing Kyra Rogan.

Kyra is a true rookie, graduating from the Pennsylvania State University in just May of 2018 with a degree in Advertising. She brought these skills along with experience in the public relations sector to her position as an Account Representative at Chapman Cubine + Hussey, where she works on multiple clients, including AARP’s Advocacy efforts, the Democratic Governors Association, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. In addition to keeping her team on track and accountable, she spearheads creative planning for her clients, developing creative concepts and overseeing their execution. She is an integral member of her team and a key communicator. Most tellingly, Kyra has fully embraced the multichannel mindset that is a cornerstone of the CCAH mission—even going so far as to keep track of her clients’ campaigns across platforms in her free time, becoming invested in the important missions they serve. Kyra also enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as exploring all that the DC area has to offer, mainly through hiking and attending concert series in the city.

We are proud to have Kyra as part of our CCAH family and cannot wait to see what comes next. Congratulations on being our Rookie of the Quarter!
