By Meg Kross Lee, Vice President of Client Services| Now that the calendar has turned to November, the holidays are just around the corner. For most of us, the holidays are a joyous season, bringing friends and family together and sharing good times and good cheer. It also is an important time to remember those who are not as fortunate as we are and do what we can to ease their burden.
This holiday season, CCAH will lend a helping hand and support the people served by three local charities: Arlington Food Assistance Center, Trevor’s Treasures and Martha’s Table.
Later this month, we will hold our annual food drive to collect food for the Arlington Food Assistance Center to benefit our Arlington neighbors in need. In December, our staff will collect toys for Trevor’s Treasures, a local charity that donates toys to children battling cancer in the D.C. area. In early January, we will collect coats for Martha’s Table, a Washington-based program that provides clothing to families in crisis.
