CCAH's Shannon Murphy Wins Washington SmartCEO Brava Award
Murphy honored for leadership, direct marketing expertise and charitable efforts
Arlington, Va./San Francisco – May 17, 2016 – Chapman Cubine Adams + Hussey (CCAH), a full-service direct marketing firm serving global nonprofit organizations, proudly announces that CCAH’s Vice President of Production Shannon Murphy is a 2016 Washington SmartCEO Brava Award winner. Murphy is one of 40 Greater Washington Area executives so honored, and her selection recognizes her direct marketing expertise, leadership and charitable efforts.
Brava Awards celebrate high-impact female business leaders in three categories: CEOs, Executive Directors of Nonprofits, and C-Suite Executives. Murphy was chosen in the Executive Director category. As a group, Brava Award winners are exemplary leaders and combine an irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community. This year’s honorees collectively generated more than $1.44 billion in annual revenue and employed 21,320 individuals.
Jaime Nespor-Zawmon, president, SmartCEO, said, “Brava winners possess the hallmark qualities of successful leaders — vision, passion, compassion, dedication, perseverance. Each winner in this year’s class exhibits these qualities in all facets of her life, from running her business to tending to her family and donating time and resources to philanthropic initiatives. We are honored to recognize a group of women who are truly making a difference in the world.”
“We call Shannon ‘Wonder Woman’ at CCAH because of the way she juggles the management of two production departments and supports charitable causes at work and on her own time,” said Kim Cubine, president, CCAH. “Since rising to CCAH’s executive ranks, Shannon has demonstrated ongoing growth as a leader, taking on a larger role in client acquisition efforts and supporting staff development efforts. I congratulate Shannon on receiving this well-deserved honor.”
Beyond leading CCAH’s production team, Murphy oversees Quality, Cost and Time (QCT), a CCAH subsidiary that enables clients to acquire cost-effective à la carte production services. Her leadership has helped CCAH capture numerous direct marketing industry awards.
Murphy also spearheads many CCAH charitable activities, enlisting employee support of toy drives and charity walks. A two-time recipient of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington’s (DMAW’s) Volunteer of the Year award, Murphy also gives her time as a Girl Scouts Mom, a Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) volunteer and a member of a church group that makes lunches for the homeless.
Murphy and the other Brava Award winners will be profiled in the July/August issue of SmartCEO magazine and recognized at an awards ceremony on July 7, 2016 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia.
