AH&A and this regional environmental membership organization received this award for more than tripling its email file within four months through an aggressive online campaign that capitalized on a very public fight over budget cuts that would force closing of many state parks. Strategic use of online petitions, relevant updates, Tell a Friend tools, and sharing on social networks allowed them to gain almost 30,000 email addresses per month with an impressive average conversion rate of .81% into paying members.
