South Dakota

Due to the release of water from the Oahe dams in the Pierre area, the Ft. Pierre Post Office is being evacuated beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Operations have moved to the Pierre Post Office, located at 225 S. Pierre Street, Suite 101. Carriers will deliver to Ft. Pierre residents when possible. Mail not delivered can be claimed at the Pierre Post Office Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pierre will continue to deliver where possible during preparation for the flooding.


Montana

USPS has temporarily suspended operations at the Miles City Post Office, located at 106 N. 7th Street, Miles City, MT, 59301-9998. Postal operations and customer service have been moved to the Ace Steadman Hardware Retail Center and the former County Market site at 715 South Haynes Avenue, Miles City, MT.

The Miles City Post Office is operating retail services and PO Box mail pickup at this location. Mail sorting and carrier delivery operations are in the old County Market building.

The customer service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday. Business Mail Acceptance hours remain at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.


Tennessee

Flood waters are receding in Western Tennessee. But deliveries in the 38127, 38108 and 38109 Memphis ZIP codes continue to be affected. Customers in ZIP Code 38127 can pick up mail at the Fraser Post Office, 3057 Baskin Street, Memphis, TN, 38127-9998.


Mississippi

Flood waters are receding in Mississippi, but deliveries have been curtailed in the following areas. Carriers will deliver to the affected areas when possible.

The Smithville Main Post Office, 63434 Highway 25 N., Smithville, MS, 38870-9998 has experienced extensive damage due to the storm and has suspended operations. Mail operations have been transferred to the Amory Post Office, 215 1st Avenue, Amory, MS, 38821-9998. Carriers will deliver mail to customers on the route where possible. Missouri

Due to the damage sustained during the tornado, postal operations have been moved from the Joplin Station A, 3115 South Main Street, Joplin, MO, 64804-9998 to the Joplin Main Post Office, 101 North Main Street, Joplin, MO, 64801-9998.

Postal operations also have been moved from the Wentworth Post Office, 108 Chestnut Street, Wentworth, MO, 64873-9998 to the Sarcoxie Post Office, 216 North 5th Street, Sarcoxie, MO, 64862-9998.


Kansas

Postal Operations have been temporarily suspended at the Reading Post Office, 404 1st Street, Reading, KS, 66868-9998, due to tornado damage to the facility. Operations have been moved to the Lebo Post Office, 4 West Broadway Street, Lebo, KS, 66856-9998 until the facility has been repaired.
